Bessie Mae Shoup Johnson, 91, of Perry, Oklahoma was born on January 26, 1926 in Danville, Arkansas. She is the daughter of Ralph Shoup and Lennie (Womack) Shoup. She passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Living Center in Enid, Oklahoma.
Bessie came to Oklahoma in 1928 and made it her home for the rest of her years.
She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was known for having a green thumb and loved watching her demanding work grow into her beautiful garden. She also enjoyed watching her tv shows cuddled up with her dogs. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Grace Hill Cemetery in
Perry, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma.

Cherishing her memory are her two daughters, Betty McDonough of Vinita, Oklahoma and Suzanne Hand and her husband Virgil of Enid, Oklahoma; two sons, Billy Williams and his wife Carol of Enid, Oklahoma and Dawayne William of Perry, Oklahoma; one sister, Nettie Rieman of Perry, Oklahoma; two grandchildren Larry Griffith and Kimberly Brewer; fifteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Shoup and Lennie (Womack) Shoup; former husbands, Ralph Willams and Everett Johnson; one daughter, Shirley Hudson; along with three brothers and one sister.
