Billie June Miller, 85, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 7:10 P.M. Billie was born on July 30, 1933 in Copan, Oklahoma to Andrew Norton Matteson and Ella (Dobbs) Matteson and was the eldest of two children.

Billie June married Billy Miller on April 13, 1951 at the Garber Christian Church. Together they had six children, three boys and three girls. She received her GED in 1970 at Garber High School and worked at Martin’s Grocery Store for several years and Pioneer Telephone for 10 years.

She enjoyed traveling with friends and her hobbies were gardening, plants and flowers, sewing, collecting antique dishes and dolls. She loved to color and crochet blankets. She also loved to go swimming in the Garber swimming pool and managed the pool for several years.

To Billie, everything had value and she never discarded anything. She was a member of the Garber Christian Church and taught Sunday school for many years.

Her greatest enjoyment was watching her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren play sports and she was their #one fan! She lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures and by spending time with her family and friends.

Left to honor Billie and remember her love are her six children, Billy Alan Miller of Garber, Ok, Debbie Garrett of Enid, Ok, Sue Vandiver of Garber, Ok, Denise Heinrich and husband Bob of Garber, Ok, Jeff Miller of Garber, Ok, Jason Miller of Enid, Ok, brother Bruce Matteson and wife Janice of Billings, Ok, 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Miller, parents Andy and Ella Matteson, daughter in law Sharon Kay Miller and son in law Larry Garrett.
