Allison "Bud" Boyd Jones was born March 20, 1941 in Richland County, Wisconsin to Boyd and Eleanor V. (Beeman) Jones. He passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015 at his home in Garber at the age of 74 years.
Bud made Garber his home since 1981 moving there from Wisconsin. He was the proud owner and operator of a trucking business. He spent many long hours hauling loads across the country. On November 9, 2011 Bud was united in marriage with Lucille Robertson Masters in Garfield County. He was a member of the Garber Christian Church. Bud enjoyed driving his truck cross-country, collecting and shooting guns. It's been said that he could shoot clothes pins off the clothes line and bottle caps off fence posts.
Bud is survived by his wife, Lucille Jones of the Garber home; five children, Jackie Kephart and Skip of Carmen, Oklahoma, Jamie Jones and his wife, Patsy of Guymon, Oklahoma, Becky Glass and her husband, Scott of Richland Center, Wisconsin, Julie Jones of Oklahoma City, and Doug Jones and Pridence of Sparks, Oklahoma; three step children, Joe Masters and his wife, Susie of Morrison, Oklahoma, Brian Masters and his wife, Amber of Lahoma, Oklahoma, and Julie Hoffman and her husband, Larry of Garber, Oklahoma; two sisters, Virginia Thoma of Madison, Wisconsin and Judy Buhmeyer of Richland Center, Wisconsin; 29 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services are 2pm, Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Garber Christian Church with Pastor Doyle Newson officiating. Interment will follow in Garber Cemetery in Garber, Oklahoma.
