Alpha Pat Thompson Morgan, 92, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the daughter of William S. and Lelia Ann Blevins Thompson. She was born on October 22, 1918 in Noble County and died Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Shawn Manor Nursing Home in Ponca City, Oklahoma. On August 2, 1936, Pat married William Bill T. Morgan in Perry, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on April 26, 1975. Bill was in the oil business and they moved frequently around the United States and Canada. Pat had a great sense of humor and enjoyed entertaining for business, family and friends she was a wonderful hostess and made everyone feel welcome. She was an expert water skier and enjoyed many happy summers at their Canton Lake cabin. Upon Bills retirement they settled down in Perry where she remained. Pat enjoyed volunteering at the hospital gift shop, exercising at the YMCA, and hosting card games at her home with her girl friends. She loved to go on out of town shopping trips with relatives and friends and she looked forward to attending family get togethers over the holidays. She was a real classy lady who will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the Grace Hill Memorial Pavilion in Grace Hill Cemetery. Pastor Steve Smith will officiate. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 3, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at BrownDugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of North Central Oklahoma in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Pat is survived by her sisterinlaw, Opal Thompson, of Perry, Oklahoma nieces and nephews, Jennie and Willie Mouser of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Dick Swendig of Palisade, Colorado, Bette Payne of Perry, Oklahoma great nieces and nephews, Dorsey and Lauren Payne of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Lavern and Jewel Payne of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Thomas and Mary Payne of Deer Park, Texas greatgreat nieces and nephews, Victoria and Scott Lawrence of Dallas, Texas, Nicole and Wesley Fangsrud of Billings, Montana, as well as her dear friend Mary Force of Perry, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Bill T. Morgan her parents, William and Lelia Thompson four brothers and two sisters.
