Amy Criswell, a compassionate and dedicated caregiver, passed away on January 19,2024, at Perry Green Valley Nursing Home in Perry. She was born on January 9, 1975, in her beloved hometown of Perry.   

 

Throughout her life, Amy had an unwavering commitment to helping others. Her career as a caregiver allowed her to touch the lives of countless individuals and their families. She approached her work with kindness, empathy, and a genuine concern for the well-being of those under her care.

 

Amy's passion for caregiving originated from her nurturing nature. She possessed a rare gift of providing comfort and support to those who needed it most. Whether it was tending to physical needs or offering a warm smile and listening ear, Amy's presence brought solace to those in distress.

 

Despite the demands of her career, Amy always made time for her loved ones. She cherished the moments spent with her family and friends, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever. Amy's hobbies included going to the casino and playing the slot machines, mowing the lawn, gardening, and most importantly, spending quality time with her grandkids.

 

  Amy leaves behind a legacy of love that will be carried on by those closest to her. She is survived by daughter Vanessa Criswell of Perry; grandchildren  Avery Criswell; Amya Criswell; Aziel Criswell; father William Klein of Afton; sister Gina Martinez and her husband Dedric of Vinita; brother-in-law Gene Hunt of Enid; nieces and nephews: Heather Keith, Angelia Keith, Ryan Martinez, Shalayna Childs and her husband Dalton, Amelia Martinez, Trista Ferguson; stepmother Janet Criswell; stepsister Tessa O'Reilly; and stepbrother Jeremy Ferguson.

She was preceded in death by her mother Darlene, husband Tim Vester, dad Kenneth Criswell, Sr., sister Laura Keith, and brother Kenneth Criswell Jr. 

 

Amy's unwavering love for her family and friends allowed her to build strong connections that will endure beyond her lifetime. Her compassionate spirit and selflessness will serve as an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
