Betty Haines

Betty Lou Haines, 87, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the daughter of Roy and Linnie Henson Lessly. She was born January 11, 1925 in Stella, Oklahoma and died Friday, October 19, 2012 at Green Valley Nursing Home in Perry, Oklahoma. Betty married Garland McNabb in 1944 and he preceded her in death on January 10, 1950. In 1953 she married Jack Haines and he preceded her in death in August of 1985. She enjoyed being an artist and working on quilts but most of all, Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren teaching them to paint. Betty attended as well as worked for the University of Oklahoma retiring in 1997 as a test facilitator. Betty was a member of the Church of Christ in Perry, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Church of Christ in Perry, Oklahoma. Gerald Stewart will officiate. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in IOOF Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma. Family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2012 at BrownDugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Church of Christ or the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Betty is survived by one son, Gary McNabb and his wife, Jeanie of Perry, Oklahoma six grandchildren, Shelli Williamson and her husband, Kevin of Perry, Oklahoma, Jason McNabb of Perry, Oklahoma, Cameron McNabb and his wife, Kathy of Perry, Oklahoma, Morgan Milham and her husband, Derrick of Saint George, Kansas, Erin McCain and her husband, James of Springdale, Arkansas, Lindsey Delisio of Grove Port, Ohio one brother, Bob Lessly and his wife, Alice of Norman, Oklahoma one sister, Sue Walton and her husband, Jim of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma fourteen greatgrandchildren and two great greatgrandchildren one brother in law, Walter DeLear and his wife, Daisy. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Garland McNabb her husband, Jack Haines her parents, Roy and Linnie Lessly one son, David McNabb two brothers, Paul Lessly and Jack Lessly.
