Bobby Gene JR and Ruby Faye Ratliff departed this world on February 19, 2020, at their home in Red Rock, OK. Graveside services for the couple will be held on April 27, 2024, at 10am at the Ceres Cemetery in Ceres, OK.
Bobby Gene Ratliff JR was born on December 31, 1963, in Ponca City, OK. He was the son of Bob and Bessie Cales Ratliff. He grew up in Red Rock and was a 1982 graduate of Marland High School. He was a member of 4H while he attended Red Rock Schools and a member of the FFA at Marland High School. Bobby enjoyed showing pigs, playing baseball, and basketball during his high school years. After high school, Bobby went to Pioneer Vo-Tech and received instruction in brick laying. Bobby had many hobbies which included fishing, hunting white tail deer and quail, looking for arrowheads, marbles, and Indian beads and spending time with his 2 grandsons. Bobby also was on the Red Rock Volunteer Fire Department and retired after 20 years with the rank of Captain and his call number was 506. Bobby was employed at Ditch Witch from 1988 to 2020.
Ruby Faye Ratliff was born on April 6, 1963, in Millen, GA to Drucilla Wilson and Billy Carol. She was adopted by Marvin Arnold when she was 7 years old. Faye, as she was known to go by, went to school at Hephzibah School in Hephzibah, GA before moving to Oklahoma in 1985 to be with her family. Some of Faye’s hobbies included fishing, going to flea markets, and spending time with her 2 grandsons. Faye was employed at Frontier Schools from 2013 to 2020.
The couple got married August 16, 1986, at the First Christian Church in Ponca City. They had been married for 33 years at the time of their passing. They lived in Perry right after getting married and eventually moved to Red Rock where they lived for 31 years.
Bobby and Faye had two children: Dustin Thomas Ratliff and wife Stephanie of Red Rock and Devin Tyler Ratliff and wife Ashley of Cashion. They had 2 grandsons at the time of their passing, and they currently have 5 grandchildren: Collin, Connor, and Carson Ratliff of Red Rock and Weston and Paxton Ratliff of Cashion.
The couple leave behind to mourn their loss sons Dustin Ratliff and wife Stephanie of Red Rock, Devin Ratliff and wife Ashley of Cashion; grandchildren Collin, Connor, and Carson Ratliff of Red Rock, Weston and Paxton Ratliff of Cashion; Bobby’s mother Bessie Cales Ratliff of Red Rock; Faye’s mother Drucilla Wilson Arnold of Glencoe; Bobby’s sisters Jan Burk and husband Rickey of Marland and Cindy Lane and husband Darrin of Red Rock; Faye’s siblings Chuck Arnold and wife Tammy of Agusta, GA, Michael Arnold of Perry, Greg Arnold and significant other Chrissy of Perry, and Dallas Karcher and husband Troy of Perry.
Since their passing, Bobby’s father Bobby Gene Ratliff SR and Faye’s father Marvin Dallas Arnold have gone to reunite with Bobby and Faye. They are proceeded in death by their grandparents and Faye’s sister Wanda Sue Woodruff.
