Bobby Tim Strom was born October 28, 1935 in Perry, Oklahoma the youngest to Timothy E. and Hannah Nelson Strom. He passed from this world on November 28, 2009 at St. John's Hospital Long Term Acute Care Center in Sapulpa, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years and 1 month. Bobby grew up on the family farm south of Perry, Oklahoma. In his early years he was involved in 4-H livestock projects having won many prizes showing sheep and cattle. Later, he became interested in bowling where he was a member of several teams in Perry and Stillwater winning top prizes and trophies. He was a long time member of the Perry Noon Lions Club where he volunteered for the clubs many projects. His interest in youth livestock shows continued all his life as he volunteered as a night watchman at the livestock shows. So much that he received a trophy and the honor of having a Noble County Spring Livestock Show dedicated to him. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Perry, Oklahoma. Rev. Craig Groseclose will officiate. Interment will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. Services will be under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Monday, November 30, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Perry Noon Lions Club in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Bobby is survived by his seven nieces and nephews, LaNese Craft and her husband, Gerry, of Jones, Oklahoma, Patricia Sholar and her husband, Bob, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Donna Scarborough and her husband, Charlie, of Lubbock, Texas, David Snyder and his wife, Janet, of Hurst, Texas, Morris Strom and his wife, Tanna, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kaye Strom-Aulgur and her husband, Jim, of Stillwater, Mark Strom and his wife, Kim, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Earline Strom of Stillwater, Oklahoma; one brother-in-law, Russell Pierson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 18 great nieces and nephews and 14 great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Timothy and Hannah Strom, two sisters, Bernice Strom Pierson and Beatrice Strom Snyder and one brother, Dr. William D. Strom.
