Mrs. Bonnie Lou Kendle has gone to heaven. She was 87 years young. She was born on July 20, 1933 in Perry the daughter of Thomas Everett Dale and Essie Mae Kirwin Dale. She attended Perry schools graduating in 1951. She joined the cheerleading squad in high school and followed wrestling closely. After graduation she married the love of her life, Ernie Kendle. She stayed home and raised a family of three boys. She baked, attended school functions and gave her heart to her family.
Bonnie enjoyed crafting, sewing, and gardening as well spending time at the lake. Her family camped and loved the outdoors. She had fond memories about cutting their own Christmas trees in the country.
Bonnie was a long-time member of the Perry Progress Club, a civic organization of local women who devote their time to raising money for the Perry Carnegie Library. Bonnie loved the library. It was because of her hard work and dedication that we have the statue of Tom Sawyer in bronze at the library today.
She leaves behind to mourn her loss her son Gary Kendle and his wife Donna of Tulsa, Son dan Kendle and his wife Wendie of Glencoe, son Mark Kendle and his wife Cindy of Enid, grandsons Shaun Kendle, Jeremy Kendle, Daniel Kendle, Joshua Kendle, and Jordan Kendle. Granddaughters Kristen Finn, Melissa Dobson and Martha Benjamin, 13 great grandchildren, brother Larry Dale and his wife Sylvia, numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
