Bonnie Jean Thompson, 81, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the daughter of William H. and Ola Williams Shultz. She was born on August 7, 1928 in Marland, Oklahoma and died Thursday, May 6, 2010 in Perry, Oklahoma. She graduated from Marland High School. Bonnie married Eugene Carlton Gene Thompson on April 15, 1948 in Marland, Oklahoma. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Paradise Cove at Lake Carl Blackwell and Marland Round Up Club. She enjoyed painting, sewing, traveling, gardening, canning and making Barbie clothes. She loved spending time with her grandkids. Bonnie was one of the first women to be hired at Ditch Witch, where she worked for over ten years. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the Red Rock Cemetery. Rev. Martin Foster will officiate. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2010 at BrownDugger Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Perry PAWs or the First Christian Church in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Bonnie is survived by three sons, Rick Thompson, and his wife Rose, of Thomas, Oklahoma, Carl Thompson, and his wife Sheila, of Meridian, Idaho, and Mark Thompson of Perry, Oklahoma one daughter, Sue Schmitz, and her husband Jerry, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Thompson her parents, William and Ola Shultz four sisters, Violet Bond, Ica Jones, Wanda Macklin and Lorene Caroll.
