Mrs. Bunnie Lee Klinglesmith has gone to her heavenly home. She was 89 years young. She was born and raised in Perry, the daughter of Edward James Ewy and Zelma Lucretia Branham Ewy. Bunnie attended Perry school from 1st through 12th grades. She married the love of her life, Donald Klinglesmith on July 2, 1950 in Perry. They settled down and raised a family of their own here. The couple had a son, Kyle, which was her pride and joy. Bunnie worked until retirement at Perry Public Schools as a School Secretary.
She left behind to cherish her memory her son Kyle Klinglesmith and his wife Anglia of Perry, grandson Jeffery Klinglesmith and his wife Shannon of Perry, grandson Matthew Klinglesmith and his wife Lacey of Perry, great grandbabies Lexi, Lyla, Heston, Kylee, and Easton, brother Jack Ewy and his wife Marilyn of Perry as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Bunnie was reunited in heaven with her parents, Ed and Zelma Ewy, brother L.D. Ewy, sister Mary Ewy and sister Geraldine Sheets.
Funeral services will be held under the direction of Brown Dugger Funeral Home of Perry at the Frist Christian Church of Perry. Reverend Josh Bell will officiate. Casket bearers for the service will include Stuart Jeffery, Chester Stubbs, Aaron Ewy, John Rex, Willie Sheets, and Wade Sheets. Honorary bearers include Jeffery Klinglesmith, Matthew Klinglesmith, and John Wayne Ewy.
Friends are welcome to stop by the funeral home to pay their respects and sign her guest book on both Wednesday (5/19) and Thursday (5/20) from 10 am until 5 p.m. A reception will be held at the funeral home on Thursday (5/20) night from 6 until 8 p.m. Family will be present to receive guests and refreshments will be served. Everyone in our community is welcome to attend.
