Carl Edward Vaughan, 85, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the son of Clell and Minnie Atkinson Vaughan. He was born December 7, 1927 in Seminole, Oklahoma and died Friday, December 28, 2012 at his residence in Perry, Oklahoma. He attended Mt. View School east of Seminole where he graduated in 1943. Carl attended twelve years of school and never missed a day of school. Carl married Yvonne Poston on January 10, 1955 in Ada, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on April 8, 1997. He served his county in the United State Army at Ft. Bliss in El Paso, Texas from October 27, 1954 to October 26, 1956. He resided in Konawa, Oklahoma from 1956 to 1957 and in Stroud, Oklahoma from 1958 to 1969. He worked in the oilfield in Stroud, Oklahoma with American Oilfield Supply Company. When he moved to Perry, Oklahoma in 1969 he went to work for Jones and Laughlin Oilfield Supply Company until 1977 when he opened his own business, Big J Pump and Supply. Carl retired in 1987. Carl enjoyed gardening and fishing. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the BrownDugger Funeral Home Chapel in Perry, Oklahoma. Rev. Lee Tarrant will officiate. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to charity of donors choice in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Carl is survived by his daughter, Denise Vaughan of Perry, Oklahoma one son, Christopher Pinkham of Perry, Oklahoma one brother, Ray Vaughan of Cassville, Missouri two grandchildren and two greatgrandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne parents, Clell and Minnie Vaughan two brothers and one sister.
