Carol Lea Johnson, 70, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the daughter of Richard Oliver and Florence Wells Burson. She was born on December 29, 1941 in Great Bend, Kansas and died Monday, August 13, 2012 at Green Valley Nursing Home in Perry, Oklahoma. On May 12, 1988 Carol married her best friend, Harry Johnson in Enid, Oklahoma. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing and hunting, but most of all Carol loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Elks. Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m., Thursday, August 16, 2012 at BrownDugger Funeral Home Chapel in Perry, Oklahoma. Eddie Johnson will officiate and Danny Johnson will assist. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, COPD Division in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Carol is survived by her husband, Harry Johnson of the home one son, Dakota Corwin of Texarkana, Texas one daughter, Polly Corwin of San Antonio, Texas four stepsons, Mike Corwin of Gallatin, Tennessee, Brad Corwin of Crescent, Oklahoma, Danny Johnson of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Eddie Johnson of Perry, Oklahoma sixteen grandchildren, Tisa Lynn Johnson of Houston, Texas, Captain Dustin Johnson of Okinawa, Japan, Zane Johnson and Kassandra Johnson both of Perry, Oklahoma, Bethany Freeman, Christopher Freeman and Jordan Vidaurri all of San Antonio, Texas, Sylvia Corwin of Gallatin, Tennessee, Katlyn Corwin Voss of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Austin Voss of Goultry, Oklahoma, Candice Tanner and Christin Glass both of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Lucas Corwin and Lynae Corwin both of Crescent, Oklahoma, Kylie Corwin of Stuart, Iowa Kiersten Corwin of Santa Fe, New Mexico ten great grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Florence Burson, one brother, Richard W. Burson.
