Cecil Wayne Gilliam, 63, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the son of Cecil Raymond and Wybeta Ovelda Smith Gilliam. He was born on May 30, 1940 in Denison, Texas and died Thursday, August 28, 2003 in the Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid, Oklahoma. Cecil married Loretta Fassnacht on August 10, 1968 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Navy and was a truck driver for 35 years. He was a member of the Chief Black Dog Trail Muzzle Loaders Reenactment Club. He also enjoyed guns, reading and music. A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 1, 2003 in the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Sam Jerome will officiate. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Cancer Care Center in Enid, Oklahoma in care of the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Cecil is survived by his wife, Loretta Gilliam; two daughters, Valancy Paige Gilliam of Wichita, Kansas and Kristen Marie Nulle and her husband, Jared, of Perry, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Ashley Kay Nulle of Perry, Oklahoma; mother, Wybeta Ovelda Gilliam of Wichita, Kansas and one sister, Martha Sue Gilliam of Wichita, Kansas.
