Charles Jerome

Charles Short Jerome, 97, of Edmond, Oklahoma, formerly of Orlando, Oklahoma, was the son of Charles Fredrich and Ida Mae Sesline Jerome. He was born July 31, 1915 in Orlando, Oklahoma and died Saturday, December 15, 2012 at his residence in Edmond, Oklahoma. Charles loved to work on his farm but he also spent many years working as an OSU policeman in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He married his best friend and sweetheart, Helen Warren on October 29, 1929 in Perry, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on May 10, 2007. Charles enjoyed fishing and beadwork but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the BrownDugger Funeral Home Chapel in Perry, Oklahoma. Rev. Sam Jerome will officiate. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma. Charles is survived by his daughter, Anita Jerome Kuehne and her husband Jim of Edmond, Oklahoma one sister, Willa Mae Kanehl of Mannford, Oklahoma two grandchildren, Bea Ann Kangas of Wichita, Kansas, Ben Kuehne of California and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen parents, Charles and Ida Jerome and three brothers.
