Clara Gottschalk, 93, of Perry, Oklahoma was the daughter of George and Clara A. Staalman Heppler. She was born April 26, 1918 in Perry, Oklahoma and died Saturday January 7, 2012 at the Christian Care Center in Hermitage, Missouri. Clara moved to Hermitage, Missouri two years ago from Perry, Oklahoma to be closer to her son. She had lived in Perry all of her life until this move. She married her husband, Walter August Gottschalk on April 25, 1935 in Perry, Oklahoma and was married 72 years until he preceded her in death on February 6, 2010. She was known for her beautiful needlework and loved to fish when she was not working on the farm with her husband. Clara was a member of the First Baptist Church of Perry. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother by all her friends and family. Celebration of life will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday January 11, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Perry. Brother Aaron Summers will officiate. Interment will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma. Family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at BrownDugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hermitage Christian Church in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Clara is survived by one son, Don Gottschalk and his wife, Sue of Hermitage, Missouri three grandchildren, Jon Gottschalk and his wife, Heidi of Streamwood, Illinois, Ron Gottschalk of Port Angeles, Washington, Gail Cook and her husband Brent of Solon, Iowa six great grandchildren, Augusta Cook, Georgia Cook and Harrison Cook all of Solon, Iowa, Jonathon Perry Gottschalk, Kaelyn Gottschalk and Leandra Gottschalk of Streamwood, Illinois one brother, George V. Heppler She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter August Gottschalk both parents one brother, Harold Heppler.
