Clifford Earl Kirby

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Clifford Earl Kirby on August 21, 2025 in Wichita, Kansas. Cliff was born to Charles and Rose Kirby on June 18, 1958 in Bakersfield, California. A devoted family man, Cliff is remembered for his kind spirit, strong work ethic, and loyalty to those he loved.

Cliff graduated from Manteca High school in 1974, serving our country in the Army from 1980 - 1989, and in the Army National Guard from 1993-1996. He retired from Sumner County Road and Bridge in Wellington and previously worked as a welder for Enco of Derby. He enjoyed working with his hands building wishing wells and selling them, along with mowing and taking care of the property. He was always staying busy outside. He had a big heart, always wanting to help people and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He loved fishing, family BBQ’s and gatherings, genealogy research, woodworking and spoiling his grand kids.

He is survived by his loving wife Susan Kirby, daughter Katherine Blanchard and husband Scott of Perry, Ok., son Clifford M. Kirby and wife Chantal of Belle Plaine, Ks., son Jeffrey Kirby of Belle Plaine, Ks., and daughter Christina Rentfro and fiancé JT Rodrigues of Turlock, Ca. He is also survived by is grandchildren, Seth and Meagan Blanchard, Kaden and Chloe Kirby, Shailynn Schulke and Cooper Kirby, and Tyson Borba, Janessa and Jaxon Rodrigues, brothers Tommy Marchbanks, Charles R. Kirby and wife Gaye, and Richard Kirby. Sisterss Joyce Kirby, Dallas Griggs, and Donna Foreman. He also is survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Charles “Chuck” Kirby and mother Rose Kirby.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the First Baptist Church in Belle Plaine, Ks with Pastor Jeremiah Orr on September 27, 2025 at 1 pm. As family and friends gather to honor Cliff’s memory, they will celebrate a life rich with love, laughter, and memories that will forever remain in their hearts.
