Cuba MeMe Owens, 92, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the daughter of William Mash and Martha Ada Belle Gibson McMahon. She was born August 8, 1918 at Ringling, Oklahoma and died August 1, 2011 at Perry Memorial Hospital. She attended school at Bugscuffle, Texas. On November 18, 1935, she and William N. Nick Owens were married at Springer, Oklahoma. They made their home at Graham, Oklahoma before moving to the Perry community in 1951. Her husband preceded her in death on November 7, 1979. Cuba was a homemaker, a babysitter for her beloved grandkids and a tea maker for everyone. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2011 in Grace Hill Memorial Pavilion at Grace Hill Cemetery at Perry. Rev. Martin Foster will officiate. Interment will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Wheatheart Nutrition Center in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. Seventh Street, Perry, OK 73077. Cuba is survived by two daughters, Lois Andrews, of Westport, Cleveland, Oklahoma and Dee Henke and her husband, Doc, of Perry Oklahoma two sisters, Juanelle Johnston, of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Cleora Vaughn, of Wynnewood, Oklahoma eight grandchildren, 20 greatgrandchildren and six greatgreatgrandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Imojean Owens one infant son, William Monzell Owens her parents, William and Martha McMahon, three brothers and four sisters.
