Darrell Shrum

Darrell Ray Shrum, 74, of Perry passed away on November 16, 2015 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. The care of the family is under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. A memorial services will be held at 10am, Friday, November 20, 2015 at the First Church of the Nazarene, burial to follow at Grace Hill Cemetery. Viewing will start on Wednesday, November 18th and the family will receive friends on Thursday, November 19th from 6pm to 8pm.

He was born in Wichita Falls, TX to Roy and Fay (Musgrave) Shrum. Darrell met his sweetheart and best friend during his 7th grade year and later married, Geraldine Doris Wolf on August 29, 1960 in Stillwell, OK. He enjoyed fishing, sporting events, casinos but his favorite thing to do was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with his family and friends.

Darrell is survived by his daughter, Darelyn and husband Bill Miner of Perry; adopted daughter, Dawna Schwandt, who he loved as his own; one son, Terry and wife Metha Shrum of Perry; four grandchildren: Chasity Miner and boyfriend, Jason Holt of Perry, Vanessa and husband Joey Codner of Moore, Jared and wife Emily Miner of Perry, Colby and wife Kayla Shrum of Perry; ten great-grandchildren: Maddie Miner, Preslei Miner, Savanna Holt, Lovlei Codner, Alliyah Shrum, Hunter Miner, Grayson Miner, Jaxon Miner, Kye Shrum and Rocker Codner; one brother, Richard Shrum; two sister-in-laws: Betty Brown of Tulsa and Ouida Nardone of Boston, Massachusetts; and numerous family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter, Sandy Shrum and one brother Bob Shrum.
