David Johnson

David William Johnson, 53, of Garber, Oklahoma was the son of Harold James and Catherine Irene Rhoades Johnson. He was born on October 25, 1958 in Enid, Oklahoma and died on March 1, 2012 at St. Marys Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma. He married his best friend Linda Darlene Fincher on August 8, 1992 at the First United Methodist Church in Garber. David enjoyed tinkering on cars and special projects plus cutting fire wood. He would love for people to bring him something that was not working so that he could tinker on it and get it working. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. David was known for giving his friends and family a hard time and making them smile. He was a member of the Enid Masonic Lodge 80 and also the First United Methodist Church in Garber. David will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all that knew him. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Garber, Oklahoma. Paul Babiak will officiate and assisted by Rev. Linda Pope. Interment will be in Garber Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home in Garber. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in care of Dugger Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Garber, Oklahoma 73738. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Dugger Funeral Home in Garber, Oklahoma. David is survived by his wife Linda of the home one son, Joshua Johnson of Fairmont, Oklahoma one daughter, Jenifer Woods and her husband, George of El Reno, Oklahoma two brothers Richard Johnson and his wife, Denise of Desoto, Texas, Stephen Johnson and his wife, Sheryl of Cypress, Texas one granddaughter Ashley Marie Woods of El Reno, Oklahoma one special nephew, Chad Johnson of Garber, Oklahoma plus numerous nieces and nephews.
