Delbert Lamar Moses aka Bird aka King Troll Moses has gone to heaven. He was only 68 years old. He was born in Stillwater to Lamar Moses and Irene Priest Moses on July 14, 1953. The family moved to Perry in 1969 where he finished school. He worked as a heavy equipment operator util he had to retire due to health concerns.
His hobbies included being outdoors and playing frisbee. He also enjoyed riding the dirt around Perry. He was happy while listening to old rock and roll music like the song “Mother” from the Pink Floyd album, The Wall.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lamar and Irene, sister Cheryl Moses, brother Clyde Moses, sister Vanessa Moses, brother Lamar Moses, Jr., and brother Abraham Linzy, Jr.
He leaves behind to mourn his loss his brother Ludy Moses of Perry, brother Floyd Moses of Perry, brother Edward Moses of Perry, Sister Sylvia Moses Atkinson and her husband Bruce of Perry, brother Zachary Moses and his wife Sheila of Perry, sister Maggie Moses-Collier, sister Martha Moses, brother Alrow Moses, brother Lewis Moses all of Oklahoma City, close friend Debbie, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He had a close and personal relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We know he is singing in heaven tonight.
Bird’s life will be celebrated at a memorial service under the direction of Brown Dugger Funeral Home of Perry on Saturday, April 30, 2022, beginning at 1 p.m. at the beautiful First Christian Church of Perry, 701 Holly Street. Pastor Cleo McGlory will officiate. Please send flowers to the Funeral Home.
