Dennis Mountjoy

Dennis Denny John Mountjoy, 72, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the son of Edward Monty Charles and Doris Markland Mountjoy. He was born on May 24, 1939 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and died Thursday, April 5, 2012 at his residence in Perry, Oklahoma. He graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He then continued on to obtain his Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh and also completed a Masters Degree in Divinity at Philips University. Denny enjoyed reading, classical music, art and visiting museums but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He worked as a licensed clinical social worker. Denny will be remembered as a loving father, brother, grandfather. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 9, 2012 at the BrownDugger Funeral Home Chapel in Perry, Oklahoma. Rev. Ed Cook will officiate. Interment will be at Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Perry Carnegie Library in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Denny is survived by two sons, Sean E. Mountjoy of Perry, Oklahoma, Eric Mountjoy of Meadville, Pennsylvania three daughters, Sara Davis of Spartanburg, South Carolina , Erin Payne of Perry, Oklahoma, Catherine Nix of Willis, Texas one sister, Eileen Mountjoy of Billings, Oklahoma ten grandchildren.
