Donna Brorsen, 82, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister was called to her eternal resting place on August 26, 2021. She entered this world on January 14, 1939, in Ponca City, OK, born to Adolf G. and Christine M. Oliver Mollet.
Visitation will be held Monday (8/30) 1-5 p.m. and Tuesday, (8/31)from 10 am. to 8 pm. at Brown Dugger Funeral Home. The Funeral Home will be open for a public reception on Tuesday night from 5-8p.m. Refreshments will be served.
Celebration of Donna’s Life will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 1, 2021, in the Grace Hill Cemetery with Pastor Donald Knott officiating.
Donna grew up in in Ponca. She had to walk to the Country School in Ponca City until the 5th grade when they moved to Sumner where she graduated in 1957. She met the love of her life, Herman, and they were married December 26, 1956 and lived in Perry until they built there country home in 1971 on the farm. Then she lost her husband in July of 1976. Donna did not shy away from work, raising her children and running the family ranch raising cattle and horses. She enjoyed training barrel racing horses and riders. Donna loved attending her grandchildren activities and she was their biggest fan.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are son Dennis Brorsen and wife Pam; daughter Metha Whitehead and husband Cory, sister Pherabah Schrock all of Perry, OK. also surviving is her longtime special friend; Tom Lamirand, grandchildren; Ryan Houska, Colby Shrum and wife Kayla, Lexie Bright and husband Zachery, and Jenny Barrientos and husband Nolan several greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son; Doug Brorsen in 1978, 2 brothers; Sonny Mollet and Jim Mollet, one sister; Mary Clinton. The family has requested in lieu of Flowers memorial donations can be made in her name to the Perry Cherokee Strip Riding Club.
