Edna “Jeanne” Quick age 77 passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 25, 2023. She was born in Blackwell, OK on February 9, 1946, to James Clark Brown and Thelma Alice Howell Brown. She graduated from Choctaw High School. She married the love of her life, Albert Quick at the Nicoma Park Christian Church on October 2, 1971. She was a devoted wife and mother, raising her daughters in the church. Jeanne was very active in the church and loved serving the Lord. She enjoyed knitting, traveling, reading, and always made time for her family and especially the grandkids. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 343, Ladies of 76 OHCE, VFW Auxiliary, served on the Sumner Cemetery Board and was the pianist for the Sumner Baptist Church.
Jeanne is survived by loving husband Albert of the home, daughter Kim Morse of Tishomingo, daughter Valerie Mills and her husband Scott of Edmond, daughter Kristi Saludis and her husband Mark of Dickinson, TX, daughter Amber Miller and her husband Tim of Sumner, grandchildren: Angie Willingham of Edmond, Molly Johnson and her husband Addison of Madill, Macee Bradford, Garrett Miller of Sumner, Brooklyn Mills of Edmond, Wyatt Miller of Sumner, great grandchildren: Kiana Willingham, Kiyah Willingham, Kalajia Willingham, Hamilton Raley and Rebel Bradford. As well as sister Alice Quick, brother Huie Brown and his wife Linda, and sister-in-law Karen Lawrence and her husband Tom.
Jeanne was reunited in heaven with her parents, brother-in-law Loren “Chub" Quick, and Uncle Tom and Aunt Betty Underwood.
Friends are welcome to stop by Brown Dugger Funeral Home of Perry to pay their respects on Thursday March 2, 2023, from 10 am until 5 pm, and Friday March 3, 2023 from 10am until 8 pm. Family will be present to receive guests on Friday evening from 6 pm until 8 pm. Refreshments will be served.
Please join us in celebrating Jeanne’s life at the Sumner Baptist Church on Saturday March 4, 2023, at 10am with Minister Russ Hughes officiating. Casket bearers for the service will include Wyatt Miller, Macee Bradford, Garrett Miller, Tim Miller, Mark Saludis, and Scott Mills with Rebel Bradford as an honorary pallbearer.
Burial will follow at the Pleasant Valley Sumner Cemetery.
