Emma Prucha

Emma Ottilla Prucha, 88, of Red Rock, Oklahoma, was the daughter of Gus and Marie Orth Glass. She was born May 16, 1924 in Hambach, Germany and died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Green Valley Nursing Home in Perry, Oklahoma. She graduated from Billings High School in 1942 after high school she attended Oklahoma AM College and Central State Teachers College where she obtained her Teaching Certificate. Emma taught at Glen Rose School grades one through eighth which was a one room school house for several years. Later she was a substitute teacher at Red Rock Schools. Emma married her best friend and sweetheart, Arnold Oscar Prucha on August 3, 1950. Arnold preceded her in death on September 4, 2012. She was a member of the Ceres Homemakers Club, Sunnyview Homemakers Club, a Ballot Counter with the Noble County Election Board, a bookkeeper for the Marland Water Board. Emma enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, driving the wheat truck and traveling but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Perry, Oklahoma. Emma was a member of the Altar Society at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 23, 2012 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Perry, Oklahoma. Rev. Robert Wood will officiate. Interment will be in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, Perry, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Fund in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Emma is survived by her two sons, David Arnold Prucha and his wife, Nita of Duncan, Oklahoma, Dan Prucha and his wife, Renae from Red Rock, Oklahoma three grandchildren, Jennifer Hall and her husband, James from Red Rock, Oklahoma, Kirk Prucha and his fianceacute, Larissa Hurst from Durant, Oklahoma, Clint Prucha from Ada, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Prucha, her parents, Gus and Marie Glass, two brothers and one infant sister.
