Evelyn Altmark

Evelyn Louise Altmark, 93, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the daughter of Ernest Brewington and Mabel Cecil Brewington. She was born June 29, 1918 at Muncie, Indiana and died August 26, 2011 at Green Valley Nursing Home, Perry, Oklahoma. Louise was a graduate of Columbia University in New York where she obtained a bachelors degree and became an elementary school teacher. She married Melvin Altmark and from this union four children were born. Her hobbies included singing and playing the piano as well as being involved in the nursing home ministry for over thirty years. Louise really loved God and enjoyed having bible studies in her home. She was a very active member of Victory Christian Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother who loved spending time with her family and friends. Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2011 at the Perry Assembly of God. Pastor Brett Nation will officiate and be assisted by David Mintz. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Perry Assemblies Restoration Bible College in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. Seventh Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Louise is survived by one son, Donald Cecil Altmark of San Deigo, California one granddaughter, Amy Nation and her husband Pastor Brett Nation of Perry, Oklahoma and four greatgrandchildren, Alyssa Joy Nation, Braden Kyle Nation, Emma Louise Nation and Carson Ray Nation all of Perry, Oklahoma. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents one brother, Donald Altmark infant twins and a daughter, Judith Altmark.
