Gloria Osborn

September 10, 1950 — September 29, 2018

Gloria Jean Osborn passed away at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma on September 29, 2018. She was born in Stillwater on September 10, 1950 to Max Osborn, Sr. and Juanita Osborn. Her family moved to a farm outside of Ponca City in 1954, where she and her three brothers were raised.
Gloria attended and graduated from Ponca City High School in 1968. She was very involved in the FFA chapter and was named FFA sweetheart her senior year of high school. After graduation she went on to get her degree at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. After completing her two years at NOC she transferred to Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, Oklahoma and majored in Home Economics.
Gloria spent many years employed as a secretary at the state capitol in the House of Representatives and the Lieutenant Governor's office. She loved being a part of the state's political system. When she was not working, she loved to get together with her family as often as she could. She looked forward to times that she could spend with her nieces and their children. She had an infectious laugh that will be dearly missed.
Cherishing fond memories of her include, both of her brothers, Sid Osborn and his wife Patty of Ponca City, Oklahoma; Sam Osborn of Billings, Oklahoma; 2 nieces, Marla Jurina and her husband Phillip of Edmond, Oklahoma; Stephanie and her husband Cody of Collinsville, Oklahoma; and numerous cousins, great-nieces, and a great-nephew all whom she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Max Osborn, Sr. and Juanita Osborn; and one brother, Max Osborn, Jr.
