Hazel Daylor

March 7, 1941 — February 16, 2017

Hazel Marie Daylor, 75, of Perry died Thursday evening, February 16, 2017, at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born in Garfield County, Oklahoma to William Mike and Edna Earl (Green) Decker. Services for Mrs. Daylor will be held on Monday, February 20 at 2:00 pm in the First Baptist Church of Perry with Reverend Kim Hays officiating. Burial will follow at the Covington Cemetery in Covington, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home of Perry.

Hazel married the love of her life, Lawrence (Larry) Daylor in Enid, Oklahoma on August 8, 1958. They made their home in Perry where Hazel served for 33 years as the Secretary at First Baptist Church. She was known for her gentle, kind spirit and exhibited her faith in many ways as she served. She loved her work at the church and was also a member of several quilting clubs around the area including the Whipple Club and the Cherokee Strip Quilting Club. She made quilts for her children and families which are cherished. She and Larry loved to travel and enjoy seeing the sights of near and far. Her grandchildren remember their support at ball games and activities, as well as the frequent popsicles enjoyed with grandma.

She is survived by her loving husband, Larry of Perry; children - Lynn Daylor and wife, Nina of Edmond, OK, Teri Brown and husband, Kent of Oklahoma City, OK. One sister and brother - Beverly Bigbey of Covington, OK. And Raymond Decker of Perry, OK. Grandchildren - Kaitlin Wilson and husband, Cody, Hunter Daylor, Cody Daylor, Daylor Brown, Hannah Daylor. Great-Grandchildren - Kaine Brown and Bellamy Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings - Earlene Ward-Boyce, Pat Phillips and Bill Decker.
