Iris Annetah Rosser, 87, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the daughter of Earl F. and Annetah R. Barten Harms. She was born on December 31, 1924 in Leedey, Oklahoma and died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Westhaven Nursing Home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She married her best friend, Emmett V. Rosser Jr. on March 26, 1944 in West Plains, Missouri. Emmett preceded her in death on November 23, 1996. Iris enjoyed knitting, crocheting, traveling and playing cards. She especially enjoyed teaching her grandchildren to knit. She spent many hours doing volunteer work at the Perry Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Progress Club and served on the Election Board. Iris was a member of the Church of Christ in Perry, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Church of Christ in Perry, Oklahoma. Interment will be 3:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Leedey, Oklahoma. Gerald Stewart will officiate. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Westview Childrens Home and Tipton Childrens Home in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Iris is survived by her son, Fred Rosser and his wife, Sandy of Kingwood, Texas three daughters, Rebecca Smith and her husband Bobby of Newcastle, Oklahoma, Jackie Williams of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Nancy McCarty and her husband, Alvin of Perry, Oklahoma twelve grandchildren, Troy Lamirand, Nathan Lamirand , Vince Lamirand, Kelli Guilbeau, Rick Rosser, Marci Mena, Laura Rosser, Annetah Stillwell, Dale McCarty, Earl McCarty, Josh Williams and Zach Williams nineteen great grandchildren one brother, Earl F. Jigs Harms Jr. of Perry, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett V. Rosser Jr. her parents, Earl and Annetah Harms one daughter, Alice Rosser one brother, Lyle Harms.
