Irlyn Rosalee Landes Carter, 75, of Billings, Oklahoma was born to Elmer Lee and Rose Irene Palecek Landes. She was born September 6, 1935 in Billings, Oklahoma and died Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid, Oklahoma. Irlyn graduated from Billings High School in 1953. She married Harold Neil Carter on May 23, 1953 in Billings, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2008. She was a member of the Billings Christian Church. Irlyns hobbies included doing hook rugs, playing bingo and having lunch with her friends at the Wheatheart Center in Billings. She was an avid OU fan, who also enjoyed watching football. Irlyn loved taking care of her grandchildren, as well as working on the farm. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the Billings Christian Church. Kent Reubell will officiate. Interment will be in Union Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home of Billings, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the Billings Christian Church, the American Cancer Society or PAWS in care of Dugger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 41, Billings, Oklahoma 74630. Irlyn is survived by her son, Tracy Lee Carter and his wife, Michelle, of Billings, Oklahoma four grandchildren, Brock Neil CarterWilson of Kansas City, Kansas, Hayden Nathaniel Carter of Billings, Oklahoma, Candace Ragsdale of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Stacy Barber and her husband, James, of Enid, Oklahoma one sister, Karen Ritter of Billings, Oklahoma and one nephew, Mark Harmon of Perry, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Neil Carter one son, Travis Carter in November 2, 1992 her parents, Lee and Rose Landes and two nephews, Clay and Max Harmon.
