Jana Elaine Cole, 75, of Perry, Oklahoma, a dedicated CNA at Perry Green Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, passed away at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Thursday March 28, 2024.
Jana was born in Crystal, Oklahoma in Atoka County on September 16, 1948, and she brought light and love to all who knew her. Her education journey led her to Capitol Hill High School of Oklahoma City, where she graduated in the 1960s and played basketball, showcasing her athleticism and team spirit as well as being an intellect and scholar.
Described as loving and full of life, Jana touched the hearts of many with her kindness and compassion. She devoted her career to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant, leaving a lasting impact on her colleagues and the residents she served.
In this time of mourning, Jana is remembered fondly by her surviving family members: her daughter Kelley Cole of Missouri; sons James Cole of Fort Worth, TX, Michael Cole of Perry, OK, Mark Cole and his wife Sylvia of Weatherford, OK; grandchildren Joshua, Rae Dawn, Kasandra, Kate, Jayci, Jackson, and Austin; great-grandchildren Jenni and Cody; brothers Billy Stubbs (Susan) and Shawn Stubbs; sisters Alice Hutchinson and Carol Ann Moore (Bill Sutton); along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a large extended family.
Jana was preceded in death by her parents James and Eulene Stubbs, husband Donald Cole, brother James “Jimmy” Stubbs Jr., brother-in-law Kenneth Cole, and sister-in-law Beverly Brown.
