Jeremy Alan DeRoin, 43, of Yukon has passed on to heaven. He was born on May 12, 1979, in Perry to Garwin Ira DeRoin and Deborah Ann Rupp DeRoin. He attended Choctaw schools and graduated in 1998. In high school, he wrestled at the state champion level and played baseball. He attended UCO in Edmond and graduated in 2002 with a safety engineering degree. He worked as a safety engineer in the oil and gas industry. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who appreciated nature.
He was preceded in death by his mother Deborah DeRoin, grandfather Donald Rupp, grandmother Lois Rupp, grandfather Joseph DeRoin, Sr. and grandmother Daphna DeRoin.
He leaves behind to mourn his loss his father Garwin of the home, sister Heather Perez and her husband Edwin of Yukon, niece Hannah Perez-Gulley of Oklahoma City, uncle Mark Rupp and his wife Stephanie of Perry, aunt Deana Thimell and her husband Dan of Stillwater, aunt Irma DeRoin of Choctaw, as well as a host of cousins and a large extended family.
Friends are welcome to stop by Brown Dugger Funeral Home of Perry to pay their respects on Thursday (9/8) from 9a.m. until 5 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2 pm on Friday September 9, 2022, at the Zion Lutheran Church of Perry. Pastor Dan Thimell will officiate. Casket bearers for the service include Edwin Perez, Laddie Rupp, Devin Briegge, Savanah Cermak, Tim Cermak, and Mark Rupp. The burial will follow at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery of Perry.
