Jett Smith

Jett Corbin Smith, 7 years old of Lucien, Oklahoma ran into the arms of Jesus on Friday, December 21, 2012. Jett was born April 29, 2005 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Christe and Joe Smith Jr. Jett was a student in the 2nd grade class at CovingtonDouglas Schools. Jett participated in all little league sports. He attended the OSU Basketball Camp where he won the Hot Shot Award. Jett was the pitcher on the championship tball team. He was the safety on the CovingtonDouglas Pee Wee football team. He participated in the Basketball program at the Perry YMCA, where he averaged 20 points a game. The highlight of the game for Jett was to shoot the buzzer beater. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2012, at the Harvey Theilen Memorial Gymnasium in Covington, Oklahoma. Rev. Tommy Donaldson will officiate. Interment will be in Covington Cemetery. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home, Perry, Oklahoma. Jett is survived by his parents, Christe and Joe Smith Jr., his brothers, Cole and Houston all of Lucien, Oklahoma maternal grandparents, Cindy and John Jones of Covington, Oklahoma paternal grandparents Susan and Joe Smith Sr. of Covington, Oklahoma maternal greatgrandparent, Barbara Holt of Garber, Oklahoma paternal greatgrandparents Trudy and Lloyd Gragert of Douglas, Oklahoma aunts and uncles, Jeni and Matt Wright of Prague, Oklahoma, Machelle and Kevin Smith of Covington, Oklahoma, and Jeremy Jones of Phoenix, Arizona cousins, Cade and Caya Wright of Prague, Oklahoma, Gabe, Gracyn, and Gibson Smith all of Covington, Oklahoma also numerous great aunts, great uncles, and cousins.
