JoElla Long, 76, of Fritch, Texas was the daughter of Alfred and Sara Jones Halford. She was born September 27, 1936 in Sayre, Oklahoma and passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at her residence in Fritch, Texas. JoElla married her sweetheart and best friend, George Long on December 3, 1953 in Borger, Texas. She was a certified chef of Cordon Bleu, homemaker and was the past director of Tralee Crisis Center. She was a Member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Borger, Texas. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Borger, Texas. Rev. John Westman will officiate. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. There will be a family visitation at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors in Fritch Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services in Oklahoma will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Garber, Oklahoma. Rev. Linda Pope will officiate. Interment will be at Garber Cemetery in Garber, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home of Garber, Oklahoma. JoElla is survived by husband, George of Fritch, Texasdaughters, Katherine Long of Gordonville, Texas and Rebecca E. Bodey and her husband, Robert of Stinnett son, Mikeal Long and his wife, Linda of Bartlesville, Oklahoma nephews, Brian Halford of Dallas, Oregon and Royce Halford of Salem, Oregon ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Borger Kiwanis Club or BSA Hospice in care of Dugger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Garber, Oklahoma 73738.
