John Heskett

March 28, 1926 — May 14, 2016

John David Heskett, age 90, passed May 14, 2016 at Perry Green Valley Nursing Home. John was born March 28, 1926 to Jess Barnie and Elizabeth Marshall Heskett, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. He completed the 8th grade. In 1944 he joined the U.S. Navy and served until 1946.

On May 15th, 1964 he married the love of his life Letha Maxine Redburn. Togethter they had two children: Son, David Heskett of Yale, wife Teresa. Daughters, Janet Windiate of Coyle, husband Wendell, and Toni Tunnell of Perry, husband David. A step-son, Mike Wehling of Perry and a step-daughter, Jan Montgomery.

Grandchildren: Tommy Jones, Dolph Orcutt, Ginger and Brian Thomas, of Perry, Pepper and Lance Rice, of Stillwater, Michelle Evans of Denver, Michael Wehling, Trent Black, Cassidy Heskett, Glenna and Joshua McKenzie of Enid, John Pennington of Enid, and Eric Montgomery, and 20 great grandchildren.

John loved spending time with his family and children. His hobbies included bird hunting, horse racing, camping and church.

John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Letha and step-daughter Jan Montgomery.

John's services will be Wednesday, May 18th at the Calvary Baptist Church. 1102 Cedar street. Reverand Alan Dunn officiating the service at 2:00 p.m. Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. 1010 N. 7th Perry, OK. John will be laid to rest at Grace Hill Cemetery.
