John Skinner

June 17, 1956 — August 21, 2016

John Allan Skinner, age 60 of Lucien, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 at his home in Lucien, Oklahoma.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Frist Baptist Church in Perry, Oklahoma with the Pastor Sam Jerome officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawnview Cemetery under the direction of the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home.
Visitation hours will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 25, 2016 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Friends may leave online condolences at www.brown-duggerfuneralhome.com.
The family has suggested memorials to the ALS research and contributions may be left at the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home.
John Allan Skinner was born June 17, 1956 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Jerry Gene and Ann (Christie) Skinner. John graduated from Summit High School in Frisco, Colorado. In 1977 John married Teena Boyd and to this union they had one daughter Maegan. John was a ranch hand on various ranches Deerwood Ranch in Wyoming, George & Susie Culbertath Ranch, Marvine Ranch in Bufford, Colorado and El Rojo Grande Ranch in Orlando, Oklahoma. John then went to work as product proving for Ditch Witch in Perry retiring in 2016 after 22 years. He was a member and treasurer for the Potter Community Church and loved snow skiing, fishing, horseback riding and spending time in the snowy Range in Wyoming.
Survivors include one daughter Maegan Skinner-Phillips of Stillwater; one brother Jeff Skinner and wife Donneta of Perry, Kansas; grandchildren Levi Phillips, Bailey Johnson and Will Johnson.
