Larry Bridges

Larry B. Bridges was born May 6, 1941 in Prentiss, Mississippi to B.G. and Lola (Milling) Bridges. He passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 in Oklahoma City at the age of 74 years.

Larry graduated from Crystal Springs High School and went on to proudly serve his county with the United States Navy. On April 24, 1990 in Orlando, Florida, Larry was united in marriage to Kathy Kime. Larry and Kathy made their home in Morrison, Oklahoma for the past 12 years, moving there from Perry. Larry was a member of the First Baptist Church in Perry and the American Legion. He enjoyed reading and watching sports, especially the Thunder and Denver Broncos. But most of all, Larry loved to talk and meet new people...it is said he never met a stranger.

Larry is survived by his wife, Kathy of the home; three children, Brad Dill and his wife, Ashley of Wayne, Oklahoma, Angela Amparano and her husband, Erik of Elmore City, Oklahoma and Lola Cara Farris and her husband, John of Elmore City, Oklahoma; one brother, Gerald Bridges and his wife, Linda of Newalla, Oklahoma; three sisters, Ouida Kirby of Orlando, Florida, Wanda Buttler and her husband, Mack of Baldwin, Florida, Brenda Powell and her husband, John of Plano, Texas; and ten grandchildren, Zachary, Haley, Darian, Davry, Gracie, Raegan, Jaxon, Lola, Layni, and Lathon. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Thursday and Friday from 8am to 8pm at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 2pm, Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Perry with Pastor Kim Hays and Pastor Danny Frazee officiating. Interment will follow in Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, Oklahoma.
