Loren Snodgrass

June 28, 1924 — January 31, 2014

Loren Joseph Snodgrass was born June 28, 1924 in Elkland, Missouri to Orville and Mattie Inis Gallion Snodgrass. He passed away Friday, January 31, 2014 at Perry Memorial Hospital at the age of 89 years, 7 months, and 3 days. Loren served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Loren was united in married with Reva Simmons on June 5, 1948 in Seminole, Oklahoma and to this union two daughters were born, Lorita and Debra. He worked in the oil field for Arco, were he later retired. He was a member and former deacon of the Church of Christ in Perry. Loren enjoyed playing the guitar, mandolin, and the fiddle. He also, loved oilpainting several of his pieces could be seen in galleries throughout Oklahoma. Loren was a charter member of the Oklahoman Western Artists Association. Loren is survived by his wife of 65 years, Reva Snodgrass of the Perry home one daughter, Debra Kaiser of Perry six grandchildren, Chad Cheney, Rangar Cline, Robin Goins, Joey Cheney, Jackie Yandle, and Kelli Kaiser and six greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents one daughter, Lorita Cline one granddaughter, Tiffany Cline and three sisters, Rose Willingham, Marlene Harris and Edna McDonald. Funeral Services will be 2pm, Monday, February 3, 2014 at the Church of Christ in Perry with Gerald Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry. Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Perry Church of Christ in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th, Perry, OK 73077.
