Marsha Marlene Poeling, 51, of Elk City, Oklahoma, was the daughter of Hinton Ray and Nellie Mary Welch Baker. She was born on May 26, 1961 in Clinton, Oklahoma and after a courageous battle with cancer at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, she went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. She graduated from Butler High School in 1979. On September 1, 1978, Marsha married her best friend and high school sweetheart, Randall Duane Poeling in Foss, Oklahoma. She enjoyed gardening, planting and tending to her flower beds, cooking, traveling and shopping. Above all of this, she loved spending time with her grandkids and taking care of the love of her life, Randy. Marsha was always known as a person who was always willing to help others in need. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2012 and 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2012 at Martin Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 4, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Elk City, Oklahoma. Rev. Russell Duck will officiate. Interment will be in Clinton Cemetery, Clinton, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home, Perry, Oklahoma. Marsha is survived by her husband, Randy Poeling of the home two sons, Rodney Duane Poeling, Ryan Daniel Poeling and his fianceacutee, Ashley Ferrall all of Duncan, Oklahoma one daughter, Michele Daphane Renae Johnson and her husband, Geoff of Duncan, Oklahoma three grandchildren, Grant Preston Poeling, Ava Daphane Renae Johnson, Samuel Tanner Johnson all of Duncan, Oklahoma six brothers, Ray Baker and his wife, Charlotte of Leedey, Oklahoma, Bryant Baker and his wife, Teddy of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Olen Baker of Arapaho, Oklahoma, Kenny Baker and his wife, Gerri of Hammon, Oklahoma, Rex Baker and his wife, Ginger of Butler, Oklahoma, Danny Baker and his wife, Sharon of Elk City, Oklahoma five sisters, Pauline Martin of Del City, Oklahoma, Evelyn Upchurch and Lucy Kelley both of Yukon, Oklahoma, Jolene Gillis of Sanford, North Carolina, Vera Stout and her husband, Keith of Hammon, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hinton and Nellie Baker three brothers, Homer Baker, Roy Baker and Jimmie Baker one sister, Gladys Blackbird.
