Mary Brokop

Lifetime Perry resident, Mary Elizabeth Brokop was born July 19, 1922 to Fredrick R. and Laura Belle (Brenner) Hageman. She departed this life on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Perry Memorial Hospital at the age of 92 years, 7 months, and 25 days.

On June 15, 1954, Mary Hageman married her best friend and sweetheart, Walt Brokop in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Mary was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Perry. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and gardening. But most of all, Mary loved telling Walt what to do.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Friday, March 20, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Dan Thimell officiating. Interment will follow in Grace Hill Cemetery. Services are under the care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma.

Memorial may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th, Perry, OK 73077.

Mary is survived by eight nieces and nephews, Albert Washabaugh of Washington, Bill Washabaugh of Kansas, Judy Loyd of Arkansas, Shirley Palmer of Washington, Rose Marie Knight of Oklahoma, Charlene Otto of Idaho, Terry Hageman of Washington, and Joann Hageman of Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 8 brothers, and sisters.
