November 20, 1943 — March 5, 2012

Mary Ruth Tanner Kriethe, 68, of Garber, Oklahoma was the daughter of Homer Sylvester and Ruth Edna Taylor Tanner. She was born on November 20, 1943 in Enid, Oklahoma and died on March 5, 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia. Mary graduated from Garber High School in 1962. She married Jackie Jack Kriethe on December 20, 1962 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Jack preceded Mary in death on October 2, 2011. Her hobbies included glass making and traveling but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Mary will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all that knew her. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Covington, Oklahoma. Pastor Kenneth Wade will officiate. Interment will be in St. John Lutheran Church in Covington. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home in Garber. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Dugger Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Garber, Oklahoma 73738. Mary is survived by her three sons, Vernon Kriethe of Piedmont, Oklahoma, Michael Kriethe and his partner, Travis Reed of Atlanta, Georgia, Jason Kriethe and his fianceacutee, Amanda Lee of Tega Cay, South Carolina four grandchildren, Reece Rizzo of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Hollie Kriethe and Jessica Kriethe both of Piedmont, Oklahoma, Lillian KrietheReed of Atlanta, Georgia one sister, Bert Blaser of Billings, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack her parents, Homer and Ruth one sister, Vickie Young.
