Maxine Shaver

Maxine Jeanette Cramer Shaver, 80, of Perry, Oklahoma, was born March 10, 1933 in Prue, Oklahoma to William Oscar and Ida Manning Cramer. She passed into the loving arms of her Savior on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Baptist Village in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Maxine married the love of her life, James Jim Shaver on August 21, 1950 in Perry, Oklahoma. They were married 52 years until Jims passing on June 8, 2003. Maxine enjoyed many hobbies including, fishing, gardening and working jig saw puzzles. She also loved to bowl, and she lovingly cultivated a flower garden. Maxine collected tea pots and porcelain dolls. It was spending time with her grandkids and greatgrandkids that she cherished the most. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Perry, Oklahoma where she worked in the nursery for several years. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Perry, Oklahoma. Pastor Richard Levings will officiate. Interment will be at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at BrownDugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Maxine is survived by son, David Shaver and his wife, Darlene of Emporia, Kansas daughters, Tina Shaver of Perry, Oklahoma and Sherry Touchstone and her husband, Charles of Arapaho, Oklahoma brother, John Earl Cramer of Lawton, Oklahoma sisters, Claudine Conway of Perry, Oklahoma and Clara Neuman of Tulsa, Oklahoma five grandchildren and eleven greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim parents, William and Ida Cramer daughter, Pamela Shaver seventeen brothers and sisters.
