Michael Yerbic

In honor of the dearly departed Michael Allen Yerbic of Morrison, Oklahoma. 
 
Michael Allen Yerbic, a man whose life was marked by resilience and love, passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on March 12, 2024. He was born on October 14, 1959, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Michael's journey through life was defined by his unwavering spirit and the love he shared with those around him.
 
Michael graduated from Morrison High School. After high school, Michael served our country in the U.S. Navy showcasing his duty and patriotism. He pursued his education earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration in May of 2006, from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. Michael's thirst for knowledge and growth never wavered and he felt a lot of pride in his academic achievements. 


Described as a man full of life and love, Michael's infectious smile and kind heart touched all who had the privilege of knowing him. As a self-described family man, Michael was happiest when his brothers came to the farm to visit. He enjoyed playing the guitar around those he loved most.  

 

Michael enjoyed marking the passage of time and was always the first to let his family know whose birthday or anniversary was coming up. He also loved holidays and commemorated each one.

 

Traveling enriched Michael’s life, no road trip was too long especially if it involved going to Illinois to see his Yerbic family or going to Pennsylvania to visit with his Speer cousins. 
Michael is survived by his brother Charles L. Yerbic II and wife Karina of Croatia, brother Stephen K. Yerbic of New Mexico, brother Mark Yerbic and wife Mary Gail of Morrison, brother James S. Yerbic and wife Deidre Bigheart Yerbic of Morrison, as well as nieces and nephews Jemmi Dilly, Turner Arnold and his wife Josalyn, Gina Going, Natalie Going, Lyndsay Yerbic and her husband Chris, Gregory Yerbic, Annawake Grubbs and her husband Jake, Kyle Varley, Alec Bigheart, Landon Yerbic, great-nieces, great-nephews, Evelyn Yerbic and Cannon Yerbic and a large extended family.
 
A graveside service to honor and celebrate Michael's life will take place on March 25th at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater at 2 PM. This gathering will serve as a testament to his impact on all those around him and the love that continues to endure beyond his physical presence.
 
In the tapestry of life that Michael Allen Yerbic has woven with his essence of kindness and love, may we find solace in cherishing the memories he leaves behind. Michael inspires those who watched his unwavering strength, determination, and independence as he faced physical challenges toward the end of his life. May his spirit live on in the hearts of those who knew him best. 
 
Rest peacefully now, dear Michael. Your memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
