Nadine Engle

Nadine H. Engle, 76, died Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas surrounded by her loving family.

Nadine was born in St. Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City on August 9, 1940, the daughter of Wylie Samuel Robison and Delores Ellen Jones. While attending the nursing program at OU she met Dale Engle and on June 3, 1960, Nadine and Dale were united in marriage in Meeker, Oklahoma in the living room of her childhood home. Dale and Nadine made Garber their home from 1962 to 2010, moving then to Durant. In 1986 Nadine and Dale decided to become full time house parents for the Oklahoma Baptist Home for children in Owasso. Nadine was a long term member of the First Baptist Church in Garber; and current member of the Blue Baptist Church in Connersville, OK. She also attended church at Victory Life Church in Durant. She loved being a housewife and caring for her family. More than anything, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She accepted Christ as a young teen and felt God had called her to be a Mom, she lived this not only with her biological children but through foster parenting many children and young people through Oklahoma Baptist. She was a faithful Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to garden, sew and cook. Dale her loving husband preceded her in death in 2015.

Nadine is survived by her five children, Nancy Dinsmore and her husband, Steve of Durant, Gregg Engle and his wife, Krystal of Durant, Eva Jo Welchel and her husband, Jurl of Meeker, Joel Engle and his wife, Valerie of Anchorage, and Mary Ruth Kirtley and her husband, Richard of Meno; 15 grandchildren, Mike Dinsmore (Brooke), Maci Gibby (Bobby), Whitney Cacho (Aaron), Kallie Moore (Micah), Aaron Johnston (Kayla), Torie Engle, Dylan Johnston, Dalton Johnston, Will Engle, Wesley Engle, Madeline Kirtley, Elizabeth Engle, Evelyn Engle, Elaine Engle, and Ethan Engle; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her twin sister, Geraldine Engle of Taft, CA.

Services will be Tuesday, December 27 at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Garber, OK with Reverend Tommy LeGrand officiating. Burial will follow at the Union Cemetery in Billings, OK. Family will receive friends from on Monday, December 26 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the Dugger Funeral Home in Garber.
