Nina Clay

June 17, 1920 — February 19, 2018

Nina Elizabeth (Brown) Clay was born on June 17, 1920, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Loyd and Jessie (Martinek) Brown. Nina passed away on February 19, 2018 at Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 97.
She attended school at Enid, graduating from Garber High School. She worked as a sales clerk for J.C. Penney and Sears.
She married Clinton Clay on June 24, 1939. Nina and Clinton enjoyed traveling together, and had seen most of the 50 states.

Nina is survived by her children: Vickie Garrison and her husband, Marvin of Shattuck, Oklahoma, Joyce Houston, and her husband, Glen of Edmond, Oklahoma, Carol Clay of Enid, Oklahoma; four grandchildren: Ken Clay, Jim Clay, Don Clay, and Doug Garrison; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and her sister Joan Horn of Shalimar, Florida
She is preceded in death by her husband Clinton, her son Phillip, and her brother Jack Brown.

Nina enjoyed writing, reading, painting, crocheting, camping, and traveling. She loved her family and spending time with them. She was a very faithful Christian, who taught Sunday school for 72 years.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held Friday, March 2, 2018 at Dugger Funeral Home in Garber, Oklahoma from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
