O.A. Kennedy

O.A. Turtle Kennedy, 96, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the son of Oklahoma and Louisa Parks Kennedy. He was born on April 17, 1916 in Enterprise, Oklahoma and died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Grace Living Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. O. A. married his sweetheart, Vivian Cleo Epperson on December 22, 1936 in Stigler, Oklahoma. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 18, 2012 at the BrownDugger Funeral Home Chapel, Perry, Oklahoma. Pastor Richard Levings will officiate. Interment will be Grace Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. O.A. is survived by his wife Vivian of the home, one son, Leon Kennedy and his wife, Robin of Perry, Oklahoma three daughters, Yvonne Tappe and her husband , Fred of Perry, Oklahoma, Peggy Leedom and Patti Kerr and her husband, Melton both of Norman, Oklahoma two brothers, O.D. Kennedy of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Doyle Kennedy of Hoyt, Oklahoma nine grandchildren sixteen great grandchildren five great great grandchildren three step grandchildren four step great grandchildren four step greatgreat grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oklahoma and Louisa Kennedy one brother Herbert Kennedy.
