Lucille Long, 96, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the daughter of James Harvey and Phronia Irene Criss Minney. She was born on August 24, 1915 in Clarksville, Arkansas and died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Green Valley Nursing Home in Perry, Oklahoma. She married her best friend, William Boyd Long on December 7, 1935 in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Boyd preceded her in death on August 2, 1995. Lucille enjoyed working in her flower garden, fishing, camping and going to church. She volunteered at the Wheatheart Nutrition Center and at the Assembly of God Church in Perry, Oklahoma. Lucille was a member of the Wimodausis Homemakers and The Assembly of God Church. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 30, 2012 at The Assembly of God Church in Perry, Oklahoma. Interment will be at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, Oklahoma. Pastor Ester Bass will officiate and Pastor Brett Nation will assist. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2012 at BrownDugger Funeral Home Perry, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to Wheatheart Nutrition Center in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Lucille is survived by her four daughters, Nancy Courtney and her husband, Dee, Naomi Ewy and her husband, Melvin, Phyllis Wagner and her husband, John all of Perry, Oklahoma, Evelyn Scovill and her husband, Bill of Sarasota, Florida nine grandchildren, Debbie Schroeder and her husband, Steve of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Deann Evans and her husband, Steven of Alma, Arkansas, Cindy Bocox and her husband, Jerry of Perry, Oklahoma, Kari Wilder and her husband, Billy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jeff Wagner and his wife, Angie of Plano, Texas, Rusty Ewy and his wife, Kathy of Perry, Oklahoma, Mike Ewy and Randy Ewy both of Perry, Oklahoma, Theresa Walker of Perry, Oklahoma sixteen greatgrandchildren two great greatgrandchildren one brother, H.B. Minney of Maramec, Oklahoma two sisters, Violet Whiles of Jennings, Oklahoma and Waltina Day of Pawnee, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Long her parents, Jim and Phronia Minney one infant son, Boyd Eugene Long step mother, Josie Minney sister, Alma Pennington four brothers, J.H. Minney, Arthur Minney, Leroy Minney and J.E. Minney two sisters, Jean Friend and Jewel Mills four step brothers.
