Olivia Mcneil

Olivia M. McNeil, 89, of Perry, Oklahoma was the daughter of John and Pauline Gengler OGrady and was born August 15, 1921 in Billings, Oklahoma. She died November 19, 2010 at Green Valley Nursing Home in Perry. She attended Elkhorn school and graduated from Billings High School. She and Duane McNeil were married February 11, 1945 in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. With the exception of two years during World War II, Olivia resided in Noble County all of her life. Olivia was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and was a member of St. Rose of Lima Altar Society and the Perry Progress club. She donated many hours of volunteer service to her church, the Cherokee Strip Museum, Perry Carnegie Library, the Noble County Family YMCA, United Fund of Perry, the March of Dimes, the American Heart Association and other Perry organizations. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 22, 2010 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Father Lourdu Ponnapati will officiate. Interment will be in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2010 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to St. Rose of Lima Altar Society or the Noble County Family YMCA in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Olivia is survived by one daughter, Evelyn Durst of Jackson, Mississippi, three sons, Dr. Brian McNeil and his wife, Denise, of Cushing, Oklahoma, Martin McNeil of Enid, Oklahoma and Travis McNeil and his wife, Kim, of Perry Oklahoma one daughterinlaw, Betsy McNeil of Rogers, Arkansas 13 grandchildren, five greatgrandchildren and three sisters, Margaret Ronck of Wichita, Kansas, Pat Webb of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Linda Hoffman and her husband, Leon, of Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane, in 1981, and two sons, Donald Duane McNeil and infant Alan Thomas McNeil.
