Paul R. Green

Paul Richard Green, of Red Rock, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on March 18, 2026.

Paul was born on November 13, 1940, at home in Red Rock, Oklahoma, to Paul and May Green. He graduated from Red Rock High School in 1958 and went on to attend Oklahoma State University, where he was a proud member of the Farmhouse Fraternity and earned his bachelor's degree in business.

Paul began his career owning an insurance company in Stillwater, Oklahoma but his true passion was farming. He founded Green Valley Farms, where he cultivated pecan orchards, harvested his crops, and operated a small store on Main Street in Red Rock. Through his business, Paul not only shared his love of pecans but also provided jobs to members of his community. After his orchards stopped producing, Paul continued his service to the town as the Red Rock water Superintendent and as a dedicated member of the Red Rock Volunteer Fire Department, which he later retired.

In 1986, Paul met the love of his life, Bonnie. They were married on July 1, 2000, and built a life centered on love, family, and shared memories. Paul was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who embraced Bonnie’s daughters as his own and took great pride in his family.

Outside of work, Paul was a loyal Oklahoma State fan, enjoyed visiting farmers at the coop or his shop on Mainstreet, visiting his brother Donnie daily, and him and Bonnie loved to fish. He also found joy in grocery shopping and cooking meals for his family. He was a constant presence at school events and extracurricular activities, always supporting his children and grandchildren. Paul will be remembered for his kindness, steady presence, and deep love for his family.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Green, of the home; his son Mike Green and wife Kim of Texas; his daughters Elizabeth Childs of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Danielle Butler and husband Tom of Lahoma, Oklahoma; his brother, Donnie Green and wife Glenda of Stillwater, Oklahoma; his sister, Nancy Green Holt and husband Smith of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his grandchildren Bethanny Childs, David Michael Green, Braden Childs, Chloe-Norman Page, Bonnie (BJ) Childs, Avery Butler, Ethan Butler, Drake Butler, Isabella Butler, and great granddaughter, Jersi Childs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and May Green.

Honorary casket bearers will be Farris Graham, David Michael Green, Braden Childs, Avery Butler, Ethan Butler, and Drake Butler.

Funeral services will be held at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Jimmy Kenner.

Paul’s life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and love for family and community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
