Pherabah Schrock

April 9, 1937 — April 26, 2023

Pherabah Dawn Schrock has gone to be with her Lord and Savior.  She was born on April 9, 1937 to Adolph Greeley Mollet and Christena Mildred Oliver Mollet.  She was born at home in the Lacey settlement near Hennessey, OK.  Her homegoing was Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the age of 86.  The ashes will be interred at Pleasant Valley Sumner Cemetery in a private family ceremony on Saturday, May 6th, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Richard Lynn Schrock, brothers and sisters:  Adolf (Sonny) Mollet, Jim Mollet, Donna Brorsen, Mary Clinton and childhood friends, Evelyn Chesnutt and Mary Jane Lesh.  Pherabah is survived by daughters, Cathy Jerome and Melanie Inda and son-in-love, Josh Inda as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Pherabah grew up around Fairview, Ponca City and Sumner and graduated from Sumner High School in 1957.  After high school she lived in Enid, Shawnee and Altus, OK and Oregon before returning to the Perry area where she remained.  She had numerous jobs over the years but her favorites were driving school bus while in Oregon, raising dogs and being a rural postal carrier for many years.

The things Pherabah enjoyed doing were reading, walking, playing the piano and singing, raising dogs, traveling and spending time with family and friends.  Studying her Bible was very important to her.  She played piano at Sumner Baptist Church for many years and she loved her church family.

Pherabah’s favorite scripture is Psalms 23.  Her favorite songs are Amazing Grace, The Lighthouse and His Eye Is On The Sparrow.

Pherabah wanted her family and friends to know that she loves them. To be quick to forgive and be forgiven.  She does not fear death itself, it is not the end, but a new beginning for her.  She wishes that all be at peace with each other.  Finally she wishes to be remembered fondly and for the good times each of you had together as that is how she thinks and feels for each of you.

The family also wishes to thank the staff of Perry Memorial Hospital, Green Valley Nursing Home and Companion Healthcare Hospice for loving and taking care of Pherabah during her brief illness.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Brown Dugger Funeral Home of Perry.  Please check the funeral home’s website for a photo tribute and further updates.  www.brown-duggerfuneralhome.com
